Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is Slovenia’s principal gateway for private aviation, located near the village of Zgornji Brnik in the foothills of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, roughly twenty-four kilometers northwest of the capital and within a thirty-minute transfer of Ljubljana’s Old Town. The airport handles both commercial and general aviation traffic side by side, with dedicated FBO handling, a VIP lounge, and fast-track passenger and crew processing available to charter clients. As Slovenia’s busiest airport, LJU’s single 3,300-meter runway and full customs facilities support everything from light jets to ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G700 or Bombardier Global 7500, making it the natural choice for both intra-European hops and long-haul arrivals from the Gulf or the Americas, as well as the starting point for excursions to Lake Bled and the Julian Alps.
